Civilization seems to have existed on earth for millions of years. This arises from the discovery of the ruins of cities, which are widespread in the corners of the earth. Some of the lost city is still a mystery who has ever lived.
Machu Picchu, Peru
Built in 1400, is the town of Inca tribe situated at an altitude of 2400 meters, on the hill of the Urubamba River in Peru. Machu Picchu is often referred to as "the lost city of the Incas", since abandoned by its inhabitants. Machu Picchu is now a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1983 because of the unique culture and architecture.
Derinkuyu, Turkey
Derinkuyu underground construction and can accommodate 50,000 people and their livestock and crops. This city is expected inhabited since the year 8 BC to 900 AD After. The city lies at a depth of 85 meters and 11 meters. Allegedly used this city as a hideout of the Turkish population of the nations of ancient Rome.
Petra, Jordan
This beautiful and unique city carved into the rock, and is a city of refuge by the Nabatean Arabs in the 6th Century BC. The city later abandoned because the irrigation system was destroyed by the earthquake. Petra was later discovered by a Swiss explorer in 1812. This site later became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.
Pompeii, Italy
Pompeii is one of the most famous in the world, lost, destroyed in 79 AD when, after the eruption of Vesuvius. But the rest of the ruins of the city in ruins is one of the most phenomenal in the world.
Teotihuacan, Mexico
You do not know who lived here, but this town has some of the largest pyramids in the Americas. Allegedly abandoned this city because of the rebellion, with no signs of burning in the ruins of buildings which allegedly belong to a class above. But it is still a mystery.
